About

Welcome to Clean Plate, a collection of recipes, reviews, and observations about food, cooking and life in a Fishtown, Philadelphia, kitchen!

My name is Casey Ann Beck and, for as long as I can remember, my life has revolved around what and when I’ll be eating. I can associate my most cherished memories with food, and find I am happiest spending the day in the kitchen and smelling like a mixture of whatever I made. Finding and testing new recipes, using new kitchen gadgets, spending too much time at the grocery store and too much money on ingredients all seem to bring out the best in me.

Everything you find here (and more) can be found in the Fishtown Spirit, my neighborhood newspaper.

If you would like to share recipes or have questions, feel free to contact me at Cleanpl8@gmail.com.

Casey Love! I see you do some reviews of food…have you had the Lobster Grilld Cheese from Fathom in Ftown yet? apparently the place just opened. I have to get over there to try it! Love your posts sweetheart!

Thanks Laurie! I’ve only had the pleasure of eating the Fathom Fries, with the crab on them. Just thinking about them now is making me salivate. Have you had a chance to go yet? Now that the weather is nicer I’m dying to get over there and maybe sit outside with an ice cold beer!
